BDO Belgium’s Response to Belgian National Security Council measures concerning COVID-19

16 maart 2020

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread rapidly in Belgium and across the globe, we would like to take a moment to let you know what BDO is doing to respond to this public health emergency.

First and foremost, our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our people, clients, families and the communities in which we live and work. That is why our Prevention Team has taken the necessary measures and continues to develop, update and share guidance with all our employees so they are fully informed on how to protect themselves and those around them.

All internal and external events and training sessions have been cancelled until 5 April 2020, as well as all international business travel. Although BDO offices are still open, all meetings with clients are rearranged to virtual meetings.

Moreover, as BDO has long been committed to a flexible work place, we have asked our employees to work from home as much as possible and staying aware of any possible symptoms. We are assessing the situation daily, remaining vigilant, and following all recommendations from the Belgian National Security Council.

Please be assured that while we prioritize the health and safety of our people and clients, we are still focused on delivering our services with the same level of quality, excellence and timeliness you are accustomed to from us.

As we navigate this difficult period together, I want to emphasize BDO Belgium’s core mission: making our clients and people grow, every day. I hope that you and your loved ones are well. We are here if you need us.

Warm regards,

Peter Van Laer

CEO BDO Belgium
