Christophe Daems

Christophe Daems is a Partner within the Risk Advisory department at BDO Belgium and has been with the team since 2011. His most recent work has focused on developing the Third Party Assurance (TPA) practice and go-to-market strategy. As the service line owner, Christophe has gained extensive experience in ISAE 3402, ISAE 3000, and SOC 2 attestations. As a subject matter expert in relation to TPA, he is responsible for monitoring the standards and adapting BDO's approach accordingly. Furthermore, he is actively involved in the Cyber service offering making sure that our solutions are tailored to and consider important Cyber Regulations such as DORANIS2, CSA and CRA. 

Since 2020, Christophe has chaired the BDO International Community on Third Party Assurance, bringing together global TPA practices and actively exchanging best practices, technical guidance, and resources to deliver global engagements. Additionally, he leads a European working group on Cyber Regulations, unlocking the power of the network in going to the market together.

Christophe holds a Master in Management Information Systems from the University of Antwerp. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor, ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management, PRINCE2 Projects in Controlled Environments practitioner, Certified Data Protection Officer, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, ISO/IEC 31000 Lead Risk Manager, and Certified Sustainability Professional.
