Joyce Martens

Joyce Martens is a Partner at BDO Belgium, where she started in 2009. She holds a Master's degree in Commercial Sciences from the University of Ghent and is an ITAA Certified Tax Accountant. Over the years, Joyce has led several teams within BDO, first as team lead for Accountancy in Roeselare and later in Ghent. She then became the cluster team lead for both locations. Joyce was also product owner for the Financial Cockpit and led the ERP team of Smart Business Solutions. In addition, she is an active member of the Innovation Board at BDO Belgium.  

Joyce's expertise is in financial accounting and consulting for SMEs, larger family businesses and the non-profit sector. She is adept at setting up and following up accounting procedures from A to Z for both Belgian and international companies, including conversion from local GAAP to Belgian GAAP. Her experience extends to analysing accounting processes and advising on efficiency and digitalisation, ensuring successful implementation in ERP systems.  

Joyce has extensive industry knowledge and has worked with various clients in the private and public sectors. In her roles, she supports clients in streamlining their financial operations and improving their accounting practices with innovative solutions.
