Katleen Daems joined BDO in 2018 with 18 years of experience. She is a Partner in the Financial Audit department and has extensive experience in auditing both statutory and consolidated financial statements of fast-growing international groups, including listed companies. She became a Certified Auditor in 2024.
Throughout her career, Katleen has worked with clients of various sizes across several sectors, including technology, software, retail, transport and logistics, professional services and life sciences.
Her expertise is mainly focused on international groups applying IFRS, listed clients in Belgium and the US, and companies operating in complex reporting environments.
Within BDO Belgium, Katleen acts as audit engagement partner, IFRS reviewer and technical IFRS partner on a broad range of audit engagements. As of May 2022, she represents BDO in the IRE Board.
Katleen’s role in the IFRS Advisory Group of BDO Belgium consists of performing technical reviews of IFRS financial statements, providing day-to-day technical IFRS advice and supporting audit teams on complex transactions and related accounting treatments
