Katrien Kegels

Katrien Kegels is a Partner who joined BDO in 2008. She holds a master’s degree in Business Engineering, a ManaMa in Fiscal Law, and is a certified tax consultant with ITAA. With extensive experience in VAT, Katrien now specialises in customs and excise legislation. Her expertise includes conducting customs and excise audits, providing due diligence, offering ad hoc advice, and guiding clients through the application of customs authorisations. 

In her role at BDO Belgium, Katrien advises companies on customs and excise matters across various industries, including manufacturing, transport, and logistics. She assists clients with supply chain related indirect tax issues, and setting up new structures domestically and internationally. 

Katrien’s comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and her focus on customs and excise legislation enable her to support businesses effectively in navigating complex legal requirements. Her role involves detailed audits and providing strategic advice to ensure compliance and optimise operational efficiency.
