Michaël Van Cutsem

Michaël Van Cutsem is a Partner at BDO Belgium, where he has been working since 2018. He holds a degree in Political Sciences (1994) and Urban Planning and Territorial Development (2012). With 25 years of experience, Michaël specialises in advising public authorities and evaluating public policies.  

His expertise encompasses the design, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, programmes and policies, as well as the definition and execution of strategic and foresight initiatives. Michaël has completed numerous projects for public institutions in Wallonia and Brussels, making him a key reference in Belgium’s institutional and political landscape. 

At BDO, Michaël plays an important role in the company’s responsible transition, ensuring compliance with CSRD reporting requirements and staying ahead of new developments in this area.
