Olivier Michiels

Olivier Michiels is an experienced International Tax Partner with two decades of expertise in navigating the complexities of the global tax landscape and crafting sustainable tax strategies that contribute to long-term organizational success. Before joining BDO in 2017, he spent 10 years working in the international tax and transfer pricing team of a Big 4 firm and served as the EMEA senior international tax manager for a US-based chemical company for four years.  

Olivier combines his industry experience with a hands-on approach, maintaining a strong awareness of the business impact of proposed tax strategies and transactions. He is committed to promoting sustainable tax strategies in line with ESG goals, advocating for ethical and responsible business practices. Olivier believes in aligning financial success with environmental and social responsibility, driving positive impact through responsible tax practices. 

Olivier leads the international corporate tax practice within BDO Belgium and also represents the firm as International Tax Coordinator within the BDO international network.
