Locasix

Building solid foundations for growth

Nicolas Six, CEO of Locasix, has a philosophical approach to entrepreneurship. He sees Locasix as a collective project, a means to achieve deeper fulfilment rather than an end in itself. His focus? Building a culture of mutual trust, where happiness and teamwork drive growth.

A legacy of growth

Locasix, a leading provider of rental equipment solutions, has been serving businesses across construction and industrial sectors for decades. It started in 1954 with Nicolas’ grandfather, who sold old military equipment. A few decades later, in 1978, Nicolas’ father Luc shifted the business towards renting habitable modules for construction sites. Today, the company is a leading player in Wallonia, generating over 8 million euros in revenue annually.

Embracing responsibility

Nicolas joined the family business in the late ‘90s, working as a laborer before taking over as CEO in 2014. Having previous entrepreneurial experiences, he reshaped Locasix, focusing on hiring younger talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. He attributes the company’s steady growth to surrounding himself with passionate people, listening to feedback, and always being open to new ideas.

A client-focused approach

Locasix services a diverse client base, from factories and schools to festivals and hospitals. While the term ‘container’ can carry a negative connotation in Wallonia, Locasix’s habitable modules break this stereotype, offering well-lit, well-insulated spaces that clients value. Whether providing temporary solutions for construction projects or responding to urgent needs, Locasix focuses on offering practical, reliable solutions.

Pragmatically sustainable

When it comes to sustainability, Nicolas prefers a down-to-earth approach, focusing on practical actions over slogans. As such, Locasix recycles half of their modules and use materials that have a smaller environmental footprint.

For Nicolas, sustainability starts at home: “Take responsibility yourself, then inspire others to do the same.”
