Erwin Boumans

Erwin is the Managing Partner for the Tax and Legal practice at BDO Belgium and serves on the Executive Committee. Joining BDO in 2004, Erwin has built extensive expertise in Indirect Tax, specifically focusing on VAT and Customs across various European and non-European countries. He advises both (international) companies and public authorities on VAT matters and oversees the development and follow-up of new Tax and Legal service offerings at BDO Belgium. 

Additionally, Erwin brings specialised knowledge in car taxation within national and international contexts. Beyond his national role, he is also a member of the International Risk Management Committee of BDO Global, contributing to the firm’s strategic risk oversight on an international scale.
