Michaël Vangenechten

Michaël Vangenechten is a Partner at BDO Belgium with +15 years of experience in international corporate tax advisory. He focuses on Belgian and international tax aspects related to internal restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, financing, profit repatriation, and value chain transformations, including investment tax incentives for multinational groups with operations in Belgium. 

Michaël's extensive experience includes leading major pan-European engagements and working in Asia for over two years, dealing predominantly with Hong Kong and Singapore and their interactions with Europe and the US. This has provided him with a broad international tax perspective and a deep understanding of global business dynamics. 

An author and regular speaker, Michaël is an active member of the International Fiscal Association and serves as a juror for the Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants. He holds a Master in Laws and a Master in Corporate Finance from KU Leuven, a Master in Tax Management from Solvay Business School Brussels, and is a Certified Tax Advisor with the ITAA.
