Executive summary
Steven Cornand is Partner and Head of Interim Management at BDO Belgium. Joining BDO in 2020, Steven brought a wealth of experience from his extensive career in HR services and consultancy. Previously, he held a directorial position at the Chamber of Commerce (now Voka) in South-East Flanders.
Steven's early career successes in the temporary employment sector included significant managerial and commercial achievements, notably at Adecco where he developed substantial business portfolios for corporate clients such as Volkswagen, General Motors, and DHL. This success propelled him to an international role as Director for the global Philips account, managing a portfolio worth 180 million euros.
In 2007, driven by a desire for deeper professional engagement, Steven transitioned to consultancy at GITP, working on change and performance management projects. He later co-founded the interim management division at Hudson, combining temporary employment mechanisms with a consulting approach, and spent nearly 11 years there.
In 2019, Steven pursued a personal venture in Italy, establishing a luxury real estate rental business and a Bed & Breakfast in Piedmont. However, the Covid pandemic halted these promising initiatives, prompting his return to Belgium.
Returning to Belgium, Steven was warmly welcomed by BDO to strengthen the interim management team. Within a year, he was appointed team leader and later became a partner. With over 15 years of industry experience, Steven has been elected chairman of Federgon Interim Management twice.
