Update: VAT filing calendar for 2025

Following our previously published article, an updated VAT filing and payment calendar has been released for 2025. This calendar confirms that no extension is provided for quarterly VAT returns if the deadline falls in the weekend or public holidays. However monthly VAT returns can still benefit from this extension. Both monthly and quarterly filers can benefit from an extension for the filing during the summer recess (VAT returns to be filed on July and August). Important to note is that if a refund should be requested, filing should be done within the normal deadline, and in any case no delay is provided for the payment of VAT during this summer recess.
